About me
Welcome to my airshow journey! It started in the 90s as a flying eye over London, reporting traffic for radio stations at 2000 feet with Captain Norman Lees. Capt Lees was also the display pilot for David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, who had a passion for warbirds. Captain Lees invited me to be his personal commentator at airshows. Soon after I was asked to join the team at Imperial War Museam, Duxford, were I became the resident announcer througout the 90s. I joined the team at the Royal International Air Tattoo, Fairford.
I also continued to work in radio , presenting a breakfast show in Bristol for 9 years and also program controller.
After 10 years at Duxford and 9 years at RIAT, I was then asked to join the Red Bull Air Race as their world announcer. Working in USA, Canada, South America, UK , Europe, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand. Having moved to Dubai, I then became resident announcer for the Dubai Airshow and also the World Defence Show in KSA. Now working full time in airshows, I am an active member of BADA (British Air Display Assocation) and EAC (European AIrshow Councile). On my return to europe I have been working on shows throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
